WYNDHAM ROBERT REDFORD II Memorial services for Dove Creek resident, Wyndham Robert Redford II will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. “Bob” also known as “Shorty” by his caregivers and the people close to him; was born on August 28, 1918 in Electra, Tex. the son of Wyndham Robert and Gertrude Belle (Straight) Redford I. He passed away on Monday, January 23, 2006 at his home in Dove Creek at the age of 87. Bob worked as a material handler for Samsonite for many years. He was also a wonderful family man who loved his children dearly. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing, wood working and working on vehicles. Surviving Bob are his children, Janet Coleen Redford of Cheyenne, Wyo., Daniel Robert Redford and wife, Debbie of Arvada, Colo., Rebekah Redford of Summit Ridge, D. Paul Redford and wife, Eileen of Cahone, John Redford and wife, Sandi of Elizabeth, Colo.; his step-son, Emery Mark Randolph and wife, Sheila of Dove Creek; his ex-wife, Vivian “Vee” Randolph of Dove Creek; and his niece and nephew, Gerry Redford and Donald Redford both of Denver, Colo. He leaves one grandchild; and his sister-in-laws, JoAnn Gill and husband, Walt of Fruita, Colo., Verna Morland and husband, George of Aberdeen, Ida., and Rosa Mae Fister of Olathe, Colo. Numerous other nieces and nephews also survive Bob. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his siblings, Maxine Redford, Dunbar Redford and McDonald Redford.
