WINSTON HENRY "HANK" LARREAU Memorial services for Cortez resident Winston Henry "Hank" Larreau will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 5 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Military honors will be conducted by Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. Hank was born in Cedaredge, Colo. on April 5, 1943 to Joseph Ephriam and Mary Elna (Daniels) Larreau. He passed away at his Cortez home on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the age of 70. On October 11, 1987 in Elko, Nev. Hank married Cherry Ann "Corky" Caldwell. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Hank had a multitude of occupations all over the western states. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gold panning, and was an avid historian of Spanish trails and treasures. Hank is survived by his wife, Corky Larreau of Cortez; children, Rod Larreau of Fort Bragg, N.C., David Larreau and wife, Melaunie of Elko, Nev., Jubel Caldwell and wife, Annette of Stephenville, Tex., Tamela Caldwell and husband, Thomas Maymi of McAllen, Tex., Jason Caldwell and wife, Missy of Lake Arthur, N.M., and Joseph Caldwell and wife, Kati Melaney of Yampa, Colo.; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and seven brothers and six sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Larreau.
