WINONA GRACE MOSS Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Winona Grace Moss will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 10 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Al Strauss will officiate. Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday evening from 5 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Winona was born on December 24, 1931 in Pleasant View the daughter of Luke Marshall and Frances Edith (Proctor) Lancaster. She passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 79. On January 8, 1951 Winona married Clyde Joe Moss in Aztec, N.M. Winona was a past Worthy Matron for the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #87. In her free time, Winona enjoyed completing cross word and word-find puzzles. Surviving Winona are her loving husband, Clyde Moss of Cortez; and her children, Jerry Dean Moss and wife, Melinda of Gilbert, Ariz., Norman Jay Moss and wife, Patti of Cortez, and Richard Lynn Moss and wife, Tresa of Farmington, N.M. Winona also leaves behind her six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her siblings, Leon Lancaster of Florida, Jess Lancaster of Wickenburg, Ariz., Don Lancaster and wife, Connie of Redding, Calif., Francis Martinez of Farmington, N.M., Leona Beaty and husband, Rodney of Farmington, N.M., and Louise Baer and husband, Glenn of Cortez. Preceding Winona in death are her parents; and her siblings, Cleda Vining, Thomas Lancaster, Boyd Lancaster, Bill Lancaster, and Charles Lancaster.
