WILSON ANTHONY BUCK Graveside services for Cortez resident Wilson Anthony Buck will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ertel Funeral Home. Pastor Kenny Norton will officiate. Wilson was born February 1, 1945 in Mexican Water, Ariz. the son of Willie Buck and Mary (Hadley) Buck. He passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Vista Grande Inn at the age of 72. Wilson married Nellie Verna Antez in 1967, at Shiprock, N.M. Wilson was a jack of all trades. He loved to do carpentry work, he was an avid reader, and he was also known for his great cooking skills. Surviving Wilson are his wife, Nellie Buck of Cortez; by his children, Sharon Buck of Cortez, Delvin Buck of Cortez, and Karen Yazzie (Adam) of Cortez; by his seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Bessie Buck of Teec Nos Pos, Ariz., Kee Tsosie Buck of Pomona, Calif., and Priscilla Saltwater of Teec Nos Pos, Ariz. Wilson was preceeded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Daisy Mae Ganter. A reception will take place at the Lewis Arriola Community center after the graveside service.
