William Parks Boovey Jr.

August 21, 1951 — January 8, 2018

William (Billy) Boovey passed away peacefully in his sleep late Monday night, January 8th. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy, and their 2 dear pets, Sophie and Dorothea. He also has two surviving sisters, Pat and Liz and many friends near and far who love him very much and will miss him. Billy and Nancy moved to Cortez 3 years ago from Mead, CO. Billy was a survivor. He was on dialysis for 37 years. It took its toll. He had a quick wit, inner strength, a big heart and deep love for the Divine. There are several people in Cortez who came to know him as his care providers. He would want to thank them for taking care of him. They include the staff of Cortez DaVita Dialysis, Dr. Steven Vlach, Drs. Bevin and Pandiya, Andy, Sunny, Vanessa, Jamie, Libby, Ben, Ami and Dave Nelson. Billy is finally free of his pain and suffering. He longed for the day when he could go HOME. He is now in a place of great Love, Joy, Peace and Eternal Bliss and Happiness. Happy Trails, Billy, until we meet again! We will miss you! Memorials can be made to For Pets Sake Humane Society, www.forpetssakehs.org.
