William John "Bill" Rice

WILLIAM JOHN "BILL" RICE William John "Bill" Rice was born on November 9, 1935 in Redvale, Colo. the son of Arthur James and Margaret Pearl (Cofield) Rice. Bill passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008 at his Dolores home at the age of 72. On December 4, 1984, Bill married Mary Ackerman in Las Vegas, Nev. Bill devoted 25 years of his life working as a truck driver for P.I.E Trucking. A "social bug," Bill loved spending time visiting with his friends. His family and pets brought much happiness to his life. Bill enjoyed fishing and old country music. Surviving Bill are his wife, Mary Rice of Dolores; and his children, Laura Castaneda and husband, Bobby of Modesto, Calif., Gary Rice and companion, Debbie Martin of Kingman, Ariz., Margie Beibers and husband, Gary of Dover, Ark., Carol Coleman of Dolores, and Ricky Clark and wife, Angie of Dolores. Bill also leaves behind eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Norma Ficklin of Montana, and Art Rice and wife, Carole of Colorado; and his ex-wife, Dorothy Rice of Kingman, Ariz. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Richard Allan Rice. Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date.
