William Frank "Bill" Gallegos

WILLIAM FRANK 'BILL' GALLEGOS Funeral services for lifelong Summit Ridge resident William Frank 'Bill' Gallegos will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Derek D. Scott will officiate. Interment will follow at the Summit Ridge Cemetery with military graveside services being conducted. Rosary services will be held Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Bill was born January 29, 1947 in Cortez, the son of Jose Guillermo 'Willie' Gallegos and Filomena Muniz Gallegos. He passed away at University Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at the age of 57. Bill graduated from M-CHS in 1965. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam War. After his discharge, Bill became a member of the Dolores VFW. Bill married Patricia Horne on May 17, 1974 at Farmington, N.M. They were blessed with three children, Beth, LeAnn and Kenny. He loved his old cars and animals, but most especially, he loved his time spent with his children and grandchildren. Surviving Bill are his wife, Patricia Gallegos of Summit Ridge; his children Beth Benavidez, LeAnn Seymour and Kenny Gallegos all of Dolores; and three grandchildren, Frank Seymour, Tawnee Benavidez and Reyes Gallegos. His siblings, Tavy Gallegos, Marvene Lobato and husband, Pat, Don Gallegos and wife, Emily, Martha Maez and husband, Bob, Margaret Cordova and husband, Tommy, LeOva Brinkerhoff, Mary Alice Gonzales, Eva Horne and husband, Gary, and Lynda Valencia and husband, Pete also survive Bill.
