Longtime Montezuma County resident William “Bill” Pierce passed away on March 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Bill was born in Englewood, Colo. on March 31, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Alma Pierce of Denver, Colo.; by one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Opal Pierce of Dolores, Colo.; by his son and daughter-in-law, David Pierce and Randi Reed both of Cortez, Colo.
Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rhonda Pierce of Dolores, Colo.; by one brother, Jerry Pierce of Goodman, Mo.; by three sons, Denny (Sandi) Pierce of Cahone, Colo., Brad (Heather) Pierce of Livingston, Tex., and Brian (Mitzi) Pierce of Dolores, Colo.; by one daughter, Michelle (Sky) Byrum of Bloomfield, N.M.; by 13 grandchildren, Wes (Lucy) Pierce, Abbie, Walon, Hollee, Geoff (Rachel) Pierce, Amber (Travis) Martin, Bailie, Kyndhal, Ryatt (Hailee), Regan, Cameron, Reagan and Tristan; along with six great-grandchildren, Warner, Gracie, Huntlee, Connor, Dawsyn, Laney and two in the hole.
Dad – You made it, you’re in the obituaries. In lieu of funeral services, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
