WILLELLA GERTRUDE “WILLIE” WILBER Memorial services for longtime Cortez resident Willella Gertrude “Willie” Wilber will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at the Cortez First United Methodist Church. Willie was born the daughter of William George and Orpha Agnes (Adams) Partridge on August 6, 1930 in Cortez. She passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 80. On July 2, 1961, Willie married Kermit L. Wilber. Together the couple owned and operated Wilber Floral for just over 48 years. The business was closed just prior to Kermit’s passing in 2009. Willie was an avid Broncos fan, she never missed a chance to cheer for her favorite team. She also enjoyed fishing and bowling in her free time. Surviving Willie are her son, Rollin Wilber and wife, Cindy of Cortez; her grandchildren, Michael Wilber and Sandy Holaday; her step-grandchildren, Amanda Boody and David Boody; her great-grandchildren, C.J. Wilber, Tiffany Holaday, and Alex Boody; and her sister, Mary McCabe of Cortez. Willie was preceded in death by her parents; by her beloved husband, Kermit Wilber; and by her brother, George Allen Partridge.
