WAYNE SHERMAN COOK Graveside services for lifelong Cahone resident Wayne Sherman Cook will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Cahone Cemetery. Mr. John Shriner will officiate. Military honors will be provided by Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. Wayne was born July 22, 1926 in Cahone the son of Clifford and Eva Etta (Bane) Cook. He passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence at the age of 91. Wayne married Barbara Joyce Hewitt on November 17, 1973 in Monticello, Utah. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W, and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Cahone. Wayne loved his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and farming. Surviving Wayne are his wife of 44 years Barbara Joyce Cook of Cahone; his children, Jill Martinez of Farmington, N.M., Jody Gardner (John) of St. George, Utah, Eric Bergman of Cahone and Timothy Wayne Cook (Lara) of Cortez; two sisters and one brother of Kansas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
