WAYNE EUGENE WHITE Funeral services for lifelong Pleasant View resident, Wayne Eugene White will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Sylvan cemetery. Gene was born on April 23, 1923 in Ackman, Colo. the son of Henry H. and Rose A. (Retherford) White. He passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at his home in Pleasant View at the age of 81. He was an Army veteran who served his country well. On September 29, 1947 in Aztec, N.M. Gene married Bessie Marie Hollen. Gene was always a farmer at heart and on the side enjoyed playing baseball and other sports too. Surviving Gene are his wife, Bessie White; his children, Brad White and wife, Pam, and Lori Olander and husband Mike; and his brother Don White all of Pleasant View. He leaves three grandchildren as well. Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, Alesa Mitchum; and two brothers and one sister.
