WAYNE EDWARD DENNISON Memorial services for Wayne Edward Dennison will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 15 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Elder Darrell Veach will officiate. Visitation has been set for Sunday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Ertel Chapel. Wayne was born to Ira Milton and Elsie Margaret (Spear) Dennison in Cortez on January 3, 1935. He passed away at the Vista Grande Nursing Home on Friday, November 12, 2004. He was 69 years old. Wayne, a lifelong resident of this area was a beekeeper and a rancher. He loved woodworking, hunting and guns. Surviving Wayne are his children, Steven Dennison and wife, Debbie of Bismarck, N.D., Bruce Dennison of Missoula, Mont., and Patty Dennison and husband, Lou of Clarkston, Wash. Five grandchildren, Satina Tolman, Christopher Dennison, Kimberly Dennison, Holly Dennison, and Rebecca Dennison; two great grandchildren, Nicholas Tolman and Tatiana Tolman; two sisters, Rachael Johns and Wanda Loyd; and brother, Leo Dennison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive Wayne. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Wayne Dennison with the City of Cortez Parks and Recreation Department for purchase of a tree.
