On April 20, 1951, Dr. Paul Hugheston Grubb and wife Mildred Ilean Grubb announced the birth of a beautiful baby boy, he was born at 9:42 p.m., 7 lbs., 5 ½ oz., and 20½ inches long. They named him Warren Hugheston Grubb.
On Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colorado, at the age of 72, after an unexpected accident, Warren went to sleep for the last time with his wife, son, and nephew by his side, into the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Warren grew up in Galena, Kansas He graduated from Galena High School. He later attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas He worked for Black and Veatch Engineering, Overland Park, Kansas for 30 years he was a mechanical piping designer.
April 15, 1978 Warren married Cheryl Lynne Eaton in Galena, Kansas, Warren and Cheryl moved to Overland Park, Kansas On August 9, 1994, David John came into the world. We had waited a very long time, when God blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Warren loved being a dad and spoiled him rotten. He loved photography, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Warren and Cheryl did some traveling. He had been to Hawaii, and The US Virgin Islands on a cruise, but his favorite place to travel was Sturgis, South Dakota for the motorcycle rally. He could hardly wait for August to get here. His last day was full of laughter and fun with his nephew, Chuck, and niece, Rebecca. Warren would spend hours just sitting talking and laughing with his son, David, and loved to tease and joke with his nephew, Chuck.
Warren is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cheryl; one son, David John Grubb; one sister, Paula French (Mike) of Riverton, Kansas; and sister-in-law, Patricia Grubb of Joplin, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr., Paul H. Grubb and Mildred I. Grubb; two brothers, John Mark Grubb and Robert M. Grubb; and one sister, Johanna Grubb.
