WANDA FAY ALBAUGH SHELDON Graveside services for lifelong Cortez resident, Wanda Fay Albaugh Sheldon will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27 at the Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Anthony Maez will be officiating. A visitation has been scheduled for Thursday evening at the Ertel Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Wanda was born on May 12, 1947 in Cortez the daughter of Reuben R. and Mary Eva (Branson) Lisenbury. She passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at her home in Cortez at the age of 58. Last Friday, May 20 at the San Juan Regional Hospital in Farmington, N.M., Wanda was united in marriage to Mr. William Michael Sheldon. She was a dedicated homemaker who would always sacrifice for her children. Wanda was an active member of the Nazarene Church, and the Over the Hill Gang car club. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, crafts, toll painting, the outdoors, collecting nick knack’s and car shows. Surviving Wanda are her husband, William M. Sheldon of Cortez; her children, Destry Lee Boren of Cortez, Vicki Darlene McDonald of Grand Junction, Colo., Brent Anton Boren of San Diego, Calif., and Hillery Beth Lyen of Grand Junction, Colo. She leaves her parents, Reuben and Mary Lisenbury; four grandchildren; her sister and brother, Janice Warkentien of Fresno, Calif., and Rick Lisenbury. Memorial contributions can be made in Wanda’s name at Dolores State Bank.
