VERNON BRADFORD "BIKER" LOPEZ Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Vernon Bradford "Biker" Lopez will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 14 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Vernon was born on August 20, 1961 in Cortez the son of Sarah Hatch and Billy Lopez. He passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008 in Cortez at the age of 47. Vernon attended school in Cortez and at Intermountain High School in Brigham City, Utah. He had training in several trades which included heavy equipment training and truck driving training. Vernon was proud of his education. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson bike and traditional dancing at Pow-Wows in his younger years. Vernon is survived by his mother, Sarah Hatch of Towaoc; and his siblings, Priscilla Rentz and family of California, Patricia Lopez and family of Phoenix, Ariz., Theresa Chase and family of Towaoc, Charleston Lang and family of Towaoc, Carleton Lang and family of Towaoc, Selma Lang and family of Ignacio, Colo., Boyd Lopez and family of Towaoc, Prislena Lopez and family of Towaoc, Shelly Lopez and family of Towaoc, LaVerne Lopez and family of Towaoc, Mindy Lopez and family of Towaoc, and Victor Orange and family of Oklahoma. Vernon also leaves behind his children, Crystal Lopez of Gallup, N.M., Sandoval Lopez of Kirtland, N.M., Tonya Lopez of Kirtland, N.M., Janielle Lopez of Kirtland, N.M., Latisha Bileen of Shiprock, N.M., Dallena Lopez of Towaoc, Ginger Lopez of Towaoc, Janisha House Lopez of Towaoc, and Rico Lopez of Towaoc; 16 grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Billy Lopez; and his brothers, Franklin Lopez, Ramus Lopez Sr., Julian Lopez, and Tracy Lopez.
