Verna Marie Fahrion

Verna Marie (Taylor) Fahrion was born May 18, 1935 in Dolores, CO to Melvin (Bill) Taylor and Marie (Mason) Taylor. Verna passed away on January 6, 2025 in Cortez, CO at the age of 89.

Verna married James Fahrion in Cortez, CO on March 12, 1955. She spent her early years in Dolores and Rico, CO, and her later years on their ranch in the Cortez-Dolores area. She worked as a business owner of a hardware store and café in Telluride, CO. Verna enjoyed riding horseback in the mountains, camping and four-wheeling with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Fahrion, her parents, her brother George Taylor and her sister Allene Taylor.

She is survived by her sister Leona Hurst (Nubby), her children Jack Fahrion (Jill), Carma Moore, Janet Walker (Chris) and her granddaughter Tamara Gonzalez (Jacob) and great-grandsons Nicholas and Benjamin; and many other relatives, loved ones, and friends.

No services are planned.
