Vance Lee Lundy

VANCE LEE LUNDY Vance Lee Lundy was born November 13, 1948 in Glendale, Calif. to Earl Bradford and Gertrude Charline (Huthmacher) Lundy. He passed away in Durango at Four Corners Health Care on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the age of 65. While Vance was born in Glendale he was raised in Mount Charleston, Nev. He went to school and graduated in Las Vegas, Nev. Vance's best friend of many years is Robert Lazwell of Las Vegas, Nev. They went to school together since 7th grade, were in the Navy together and also worked together at PepsiCo. He joined the Navy after graduation and served four years on the USS Ranger. Vance loved to travel and hiking in the mountains. He loved animals and was a very kind and loving person. Surviving Vance is his brother, Charles Lundy of Las Vegas, Nev.; wife, Carolyn Lundy of Cortez; daughter, Brittany Lundy of Cortez; four stepsons, James Peterson of Bayfield, Colo., Stephen Peterson of Ignacio, Colo., Robert Peterson and Charles Peterson both of Cortez; a stepdaughter, Crystal Peterson of Cortez; and nine step grandchildren. Vance was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Charline Lundy; and by one brother, Monte Lundy. Cremation is planned with no services to be held.
