Tyrone Carsten

TYRONE CARSTEN Tyrone Carsten was born on November 13, 1943 in Tyler, Tex. the son of Henry H. and Vera (Cook) Carsten. He passed from this life on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at his home in Cortez, Colo. at the age of 65. Tyrone lived in the Tyler, Tex. area most of his life and moved to Cortez in 1992. Tyrone's family and friends enjoyed his wry sense of humor and benefited from his willingness to help all who asked. Tyrone's helping hands and loving heart will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving Tyrone are his cherished wife, Donna Carsten of Cortez; his son, Kyle Merritt and wife, Emma of Cortez; his daughters, Kristin Espinoza and husband, David of Cortez, and Elizabeth Abbott and husband, Mark of Prosper, Tex.; his grandchildren, Kylee Espinoza, Jadyn Andersen, Neveah Merritt, and Tyler and Madison Abbott; his siblings, Mary Jo Carsten and Henry H. Carsten, both of Murray, Utah, Catherine Gilbert of Magnolia, Tex, Don Carsten of Tyler, Tex., Vera May Sellers of Goldthwaite, Tex., Michael Carsten of Tyler, Tex., and Susan Lovett of Dallas, Tex., and numerous nieces and nephews. Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother, Vera (Cook) Carsten; and by his father. After cremation per his request, there will be no services.
