TWILA JEAN SLOUGH A celebration of the life of Twila Jean Slough will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 27 at Ertel Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Dahl officiating. Interment services are to be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27 at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Twila was born October 7, 1939 in Maude, Okla. the daughter of Olen S. and Pearlie Mae (Collum) Hall. She passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Durango on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the age of 69. On April 8, 1961 Twila married Bob D. Slough. Together they shared 48 years of marriage; thirty of those years were spent working with Bob in their law office. Twila also kept the books for the Elks Lodge for the last eight to nine years. She was woman with diverse interests. She was creative and artistic both in painting and quilting; she enjoyed fly fishing, downhill skiing, flower gardening and taking flying lessons. Surviving Twila are her husband, Bob Slough of Mancos; three children, Robin Wolcott and husband, Greg of Mancos, Stephanie Slough of Amman, Jordan and Chris Slough and wife, Yvonne of Belgrade, Serbia; by two grandchildren, Ben Wolcott and wife, Sensa of Mancos and Erin Wolcott also of Mancos; and by two sisters, Maureen Cooper of Granbury, Tex. and Brenda Reed and husband, Skip of Phoenix, Ariz. Twila was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brother, Dewayne Hall. The family requests donations be made in memory of Twila Slough to your favorite charity.
