Twila Freada Switzer

TWILA FREADA SWITZER Funeral services for Twila Freada Switzer will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 28 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Twila was born the daughter of Frank B. and Laura Freda (Treece) Bridgewater on December 15, 1935 in Beulah, Colo. She passed away at Swedish Hospital in Denver, Colo. on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the age of 78. Twila graduated from Montezuma Cortez High School in 1953. Loving to cook and bake, Twila was known for her delicious pies. She worked at the M & M Restaurant as well as making pies and cinnamon rolls for them. Twila managed Pippo's from 1973-1974. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing and buying clothes and shoes. Surviving Twila are her children, Cris Switzer of Cortez, Betty Jean Goffinett and husband, Bob of Luther, Okla., Leonard Steven Switzer and wife, Kathleen of Jones, Okla. and Lisa Ann Campbell and husband, Billy of Jones, Okla.; her brother, James E. Bridgewater of Cortez; and nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Laura Bridgewater; grandbaby Switzer and grandbaby Belt; brothers, Harold Bridgewater and William F. Bridgewater; and two infant siblings.
