Trevor Gene Deweese

A funeral mass will be celebrated for Dolores resident Trevor Gene DeWeese at 11:30 on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Soosai officiating. A rosary will be held prior to the Mass at 11:00.

Trevor was born on March 29, 1978 in Cortez Colorado the son of Robert Joseph and Mary Louise (Fehringer) DeWeese. He passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Salt Lake City at the age of 44.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator in several locations including the Denver area, Casper, WY, and most recently Salt Lake City, UT.

Trevor’s younger years were centered around wrestling, a sport he naturally excelled in. As an adult his passions turned to fishing and hunting and Trevor could be found outdoors enjoying them year-round.

Surviving Trevor are his parents Robert and Mary DeWeese of Dolores, CO; his siblings Jason DeWeese of Bayfield, CO and Brant DeWeese of Commerce City, CO; nieces Felicity and Teagan DeWeese of Durango, CO; and nephew Tristen DeWeese of Commerce City, CO.

Trevor was preceded in death by his grandparents Bonnie and Gene DeWeese; step grandfather Dale Lewis; grandparents Victor and Barbra Fehringer; and various aunts and uncles.
