Tony Eleanor Sanchez

TONY ELEANOR SANCHEZ Tony Eleanor Sanchez, 72 of Cortez, Colo., passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Cortez. She was born April 27, 1943 in Dolores, Colo. the daughter of Henry Romero, Jr. and Maxine (Vigil) Romero. Eleanor married Benjamin Sanchez on May 15, 1961 in Aztec, N.M. She and Ben shared the joy of raising two sons. For years, Eleanor operated the T. E. Silks, a flower shop, from her home. She also enjoyed all types of arts and crafts, including pottery. Surviving Eleanor are her husband, Benjamin Sanchez; her two sons Melvin Sanchez and wife, Teresa Brown-Sanchez and Marvin Sanchez and wife, Genny all of Cortez; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce Nolan. According to Eleanor's wishes, cremation has taken place.
