Toney Dale Lopez

Funeral Mass for Summit Ridge resident Toney Dale Lopez will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Lorenzo Uribe will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Toney was born September 18, 1941 in Summit Ridge, CO the son of Frank and Juanita Donna (Espinoza) Lopez. He passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO at the age of 80.
Surviving Toney are his loving wife, Genieve Lopez of Summit Ridge, CO; his children, Yvonne Schurman (Bobby) of Ignacio, CO, Vicki Stone (Jaye) of Gypsum, CO, Brian Lopez (Teri) of Summit Ridge, CO, Annette Williams (Billy) of Mancos, CO; his siblings, Eugene Lopez (Betty) of LaPlata, NM, Ida Mott (Darrell) of Summit Ridge, CO; his grandchildren, Cody Lopez (Katelyn), Tori Stone, Keegan Schurman, and Kourtney Schurman; and his great grandchildren, Josie Lopez, and Lincoln Lopez. Toney was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Teresa Lopez; and his siblings, Tommy Lopez, Frank Lopez, Victor Lopez, and Abe Lopez.
