TIMOTHY WAYNE "TIM" THOMPSON Funeral services for lifelong Dove Creek resident Timothy Wayne Thompson will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 1 p.m. at the Dove Creek High School football field, weather permitting. In the case of inclement weather, services will be held at the Dove Creek High School Gymnasium. Jerry Martin will officiate. Tim was born on October 31, 1962 in Cortez the son of Charles and Joan (Evans) Thompson. He passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Denver, Colo. at the age of 46. On December 29, 1984, Tim married Carla Dee Bailey in Dove Creek. An outdoor enthusiast, Tim loved to fish and hunt. His family was very special to him. Surviving Tim are his loving wife, Carla Thompson of Dove Creek; and his parents, Chuck and Joan Thompson, also of Dove Creek. Tim also leaves behind his children, Chance Thompson and wife, Shelly, and Charlene Curtis and husband, Cody, all of Dove Creek; his grandchildren, Collin and Dana Thompson and Stryder Curtis; his siblings, Gene Thompson and wife, Julie of Grand Junction, Colo., and Leroy Thompson of Eagle Nest, N.M.; and a large extended family.
