Thelma Lorine Orr

THELMA LORINE ORR Memorial services for former area resident, Thelma Lorine Orr will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at St. Johns Methodist Church. Inurnment services will be held at the Hereford Cemetery in Hereford, Tex. at a later date. Thelma was born on August 1, 1914 in Dierks, Ark. the daughter of Joseph Monroe and Mary Emma (Turrentine) Baker. She passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home in Mancos at the age of 91. Thelma was an elementary school teacher for 28 years. In June, she started a quilting class with her daughter-in-law Beth. She was also an avid reader. Surviving Thelma are her son, Berry Orr and wife, Beth of Dolores; her grandchildren, Joseph 'Joey' Orr and wife, Bridget of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., Terri Mueller of Beaverton, Ore., Mileah Lyon and husband, Sean of Long Beach, Miss., and Wendell Orr and wife, Shannon of D'Iberville, Miss.; and her 13 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, W. Rogers Orr; and all of her brothers and sisters.
