A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the American Legion for Terry McNamee (Harold Forbes McNamee.) Military Honors will be performed by the Veterans of Montezuma County.
Terry was born November 19, 1949 in Ft. Fairfield, Maine the son of Harold and Dorothy (Forbes) McNamee. He passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home in Cortez, CO. His parents had seven children. He had four older sisters and two younger brothers.
Terry grew up on a potato farm until he was 11 when he moved to Thomaston Connecticut. In high school he worked at Ryans Gas Station where he learned his mechanic skills. He was a natural when it came to fixing engines. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1968 to 1972 receiving the rank of Corporal. Soon after leaving the Marines, he moved to Colorado, eventually marrying and raising a family in Cortez. He was a loving father and grandfather, a caring friend, no stranger to those in need, always bringing life and adventure. He was a superhero in the form of T Mac.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Rikki Watson; his son, Dale McNamee; two
granddaughters, Mollie Monroe and Rebel Rose McNamee; three sisters, Wanda Buys, Joyce Kelley, Sandra Bruscino; and two brothers, Michael and Robert McNamee.
