SYBIL BERNICE DOUGLAS DECKER Graveside services for lifelong Mancos resident, Sybil Bernice Douglas Decker will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 13 at the Webber Cemetery approximately six miles south of Mancos on Highway 41. A visitation has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. The daughter of Hulon and Fannie (White) Douglas, Sybil was born Aug. 28, 1914 in Greenville, Texas. She passed away at her home in Mancos on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the age of 91. Surviving Sybil are her husband, David A. Decker of Mancos; her adopted daughter, Sydney Fletcher of Strattford, Mo.; her adopted grandsons, George Stroutheide of Strattford, Mo., David Stroutheide of Germany, and Bill Stroutheide of Sulpher Springs, Tex.; her siblings, Bill Douglas of Troupe, Tex., Pat Martin of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Frieda Perry of Bremen, Ga. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive Sybil. Preceding her in death are her parents; and her siblings, Dalton Douglas, Preble McKinney, Valda Blazer, and Don Douglas.
