SUSAN JOY CAMPBELL Memorial services for Hesperus resident, Susan Joy Campbell will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11 at New Life Chapel. Inurnment services will follow at the Greenmount Cemetery. Pastor Dwight Saunders will be officiating. Susan was born on September 3, 1957 in Saint Petersburg, Fl. the daughter of Ragnar Tommins and Marjorie Louise (Ringer) Peterson. She passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at the Four Corners Health Care Center at the age of 48. On August 11, 1985 in Orlando, Fl. Susan married Jimmy Dale Campbell. With this union two children were born. Susan will always be remembered as a beloved wife and mother. She was also an active member of the New Life Chapel. During her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. The outdoors were also a passion of Susan’s. Surviving Susan are her husband, Jimmy D. Campbell; her children, Rachel Lauren and Bradley Tyler Campbell all of Hesperus. She leaves her father, Ragnar Peterson and wife, Jean; her siblings, Randall Alan Peterson and wife, Sharon, and Cindy Strube and husband, Steve all of Orlando, Fl.; her mother-in-law, Betty J. Campbell of Hesperus; her sister-in-law, Marla Lobb and husband, Bill of Denver; and her aunt, Janie Campbell of Hesperus. Preceding her in death was her mother Marjorie Peterson. Memorial contributions can be made in Susan’s name at Bank of Colorado; located at 1199 Main Avenue in Durango.
