SUE KAISER A gathering of family and friends of Sue Kaiser will be held on Sunday, April 3 at the family home located at 2232 Highway 160, Cortez. The family invites people to come by at any time during the day. Sue passed away at her home outside of Cortez on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the age of 67. She was born the daughter of Olen Bud and Audrey Birdie (Cannon) Rushing at Boggy Depot, Oklahoma on December 31, 1937. She married Charlie Fredrick Kaiser on June 3, 1959 at Aztec, N.M. A resident of the Cortez area since 1971, Sue loved to sew and crochet and enjoyed horses. She was a fantastic wife, mother and mother-in-law. Surviving Sue are her husband of 45 years, Charlie Kaiser of Cortez; her children, Audrey Collom, Terri Zahorka and husband, Ron, and Chuck Kaiser and wife, Lynn; as well as her eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Collins and Johnnie Stanley; brother, Phillip Rushing and wife, Marlis; special friends, Ronnie and Bob Schwiebenz and daughter, Heather; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends. Preceding Sue in death are her parents, Olen and Birdie Rushing; a brother, Don Allen; and infant twin brothers.
