STEVEN ROGER CRITES Funeral services for 49 year old Cortez resident, Steven Roger Crites will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Cortez First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. Steve was born on July 11, 1955 in Ukiah, Calif. the son of Raymond Henry and Anna Eileen (Peters) Crites. He passed away on Monday, September 27, 2004 in New Mexico. Steve was a long haul truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairies who when he wasn't working enjoyed hiking, fishing, boating and scuba diving. He was also a member of the Cortez First Assembly of God Church. Surviving Steve are his mother, Anna Crites of Cortez; his daughter, Anna Lee and husband, Jeff of Cortez; and his brothers, Tim Crites of Cortez, and Ron Crites of Carson City, Nev. Preceding him in death was his father, Raymond Crites. Memorial contributions can be made in Steve's memory to Gideon's International at 14251 Road 26, Dolores, Colo. 81323.
