Steve Gomez was called home to heaven on November 5, 2020 at the age of 60, after a long hard fight with Esophageal Cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathy; his children, Steven, Curtis, KayCee, Jacob, Forrest, Isabella, Travin and Stevie; his grandchildren, Lacey, Scotty, Trinity, Kobin, Abigail, Jack, Carter and Cali; his son-in-law, Scott; and daughters-in-law, Chelsey and Elizabetha.
“Tinker” as he was fondly known by many, was born in Sun Valley, CA on August 22, 1960 to Joseph and Barbara Gomez. He was raised in Simi Valley, CA with his two sisters and three brothers. He was heavily influenced by his father's work ethic and values that his mother instilled in him. When it came time for him to have his own family those same traits were passed down to his children.
Steve had many passions, playing golf as often as he could, and spending time being one with nature fishing. If you truly knew him, if he wasn’t working as the best flooring guy around town, he was off for a round of 18 holes, or reeling a fish in.
Throughout his life, Steve graced the lives of those around him with his generous and thoughtful nature, always the jokester. Steve loved, was loved, will be greatly missed, and his memory forever cherished. The sky just gained a beautiful, bright star..... Rest in Peace Steve. #SMFG
