STEPHANIE LEEANNE MCCLAIN ADAMS Funeral services for Cortez resident Stephanie LeeAnne McClain Adams will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Stephanie was born on May 19, 1969 in Lovington, N.M. the daughter of James G. Gregg and Sherry Lee English. She passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 38. Stephanie attended and graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 1987. On December 12, 2005, Stephanie married Justin Levi Adams at the Cortez Family Worship Center. Some of the most special times in her life were those spent with her grandfather, Bill at the racetracks. The two were "race buddies" and if Stephanie was absent those around noticed. She treasured time spent with her boys and her sense of humor will be greatly missed. Stephanie had a wonderful doll collection. Surviving Stephanie are her husband, Justin Adams of Cortez; her mother, Sherry English of Safford, Ariz.; her father, James Gregg of Kilgore, Tex.; her sons, Tyree McClain and Davlan Armstrong of Dolores, and Aaron McClain of Cortez; her grandfather, Albert "Bill" English of Cortez; one grandson, Zaquria that is soon to arrive; her aunts, Billie Huff and husband, Doug of Thatcher, Ariz., and Lynn Lichliter and husband, Ron of Durango; many cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Edith English.
