STANLEY RAY REYNOLDS Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Stanley Ray Reynolds will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Ray was born on September 2, 1935 in Mena, Ark. the son of Charlie E. and Lucy (Moyer) Reynolds. He passed away on Friday, January 1, 2010 at his residence at the age of 74. On July 28, 1956, Ray married Dixie Elizabeth "Liz" Fields in Grants, N.M. Ray owned and operated ABC Tire for 24 years. In his free time, Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving Ray are his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Reynolds of Cortez; and his children, Charles R. "Charlie" Reynolds of Cortez, Leslie Dietz and husband, Timothy of Cortez, and Brandon R. Reynolds and wife, Mori of Cortez. Ray also leaves behind six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his siblings, Howard Roberts of Globe, Ariz., Dale Reynolds of Broken Bow, Okla., Sybil Small of Cortez, Doris Hathorn of Albuquerque, N.M., and Phyllis Davis of Cortez. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; by his son, Alan Blane Reynolds; and by his siblings, Clint Reynolds, Oris Reynolds, Opal Roberts, Joyce Reynolds, Ztell Reynolds, Estell Reynolds, Argus Reynolds, and Claude Reynolds.
