SHERAE DAWN HOUSE Funeral services for Cortez resident Sherae Dawn House will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 15 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Sherae was born on April 23, 1999 in Cortez the daughter of Sheldon R. and Victoria (Yazzie) House. She passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo. A free spirit, Sherae loved being outdoors and playing jokes. She was a very bright girl who was compassionate and caring towards anyone she met. Sherae enjoyed playing soccer and basketball and she was a Jingle Dancer. Surviving Sherae are her parents, Sheldon House and Victoria Yazzie, both of Cortez; and her sisters, Kiffani Amber Tom of Ogden, Utah and Jennifer Rachel Tom and Anthony Watts of Towaoc. She also leaves behind her niece Liliene K. Watts; her nephew, Reign A. Watts; her grandparents, Dorothy and Melvin Price of Cortez; and a large extended family on both sides of Sherae's family, including aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sherae was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Lillie Yazzie; and by her brother, Ty Box. Memorial contributions may be made in Sherae's name to Vectra Bank.
