Shannon Paytiamo

SHANNON PAYTIAMO Shannon Paytiamo was born on December 5, 1969 in Cortez the daughter of Howard Joseph and Rose Ann (Williams) Paytiamo. She passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Northern Navajo Health Center in Shiprock, N.M. at the age of 42. Shannon had a passion for working with people and loved communicating with people of all different races. She lived most of her life in the community of the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation where she was well known. Surviving Shannon are her parents, Howard Paytiamo and wife, Eileen of Tse Bonito, N.M. and Rose Paytiamo of Towaoc; her partner, Stephen Lang; her children, Autumn Eyetoo of Durango, Drake Eyetoo, James William, and Sean Williamz all of Towaoc; her siblings, Cordell Paytiamo of Towaoc, and Denise Lenahan of Cortez; her niece, Taryn Paytiamo of Cortez and her children Ma-Keelin Thom and Izlyn Plentyholes; and a large extended family and friends. Shannon was preceded in death by her son, Sir Winston Turtle III; and her brothers, Keith Paytiamo and Clayton Paytiamo. The family apologizes to all of Shannon's friends that services will be held for family members only, as these were her last wishes. Please honor them and may the Creator bless you all.
