SCOTT MARTIN THORNSBERRY Memorial services for Summit Ridge resident, Scott Martin Thornsberry will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 27 at the Mercy Medical Center Solarium in Durango. Scott was born on January 20, 1959 in Quantico, Virg. the son of James L. and Myrna L. (Twiggs) Thornsberry. He passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at his home in Summit Ridge at the age of 46. Scott was an Army veteran who flew Apache Helicopters and was also a Special Forces Medic. He was currently working as a Medical Imaging Technologist both at Mercy Medical Center and Southwest Internal Medicine. He was an intelligent man who loved anything to do with technology or electronics. Scott was an active member in the Masonic Lodge, Veterans Administration, as well as the A.O.P.A. pilots association. During his spare time he loved flying, fly fishing, and horseback riding. Scott was also an excellent gourmet cook. Surviving Scott are his mother, Myrna Thornsberry of Cleveland, Ohio; his children, Andrea and Ian Kirby of Mansfield, Ohio; his significant other, Vickie Stinson of Summit Ridge; and his siblings, Grant, Phyllis and Jim. Preceding him in death was his father, James L. Thornsberry. Memorial contributions can be made in Scott’s memory to the Cortez Animal Shelter or to the Humane Society.
