Sarrah Elizabeth "Betty" Mckinley

SARRAH ELIZABETH “BETTY” McKINLEY Graveside services for Mancos resident, Sarrah Elizabeth “Betty” McKinley will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 19 at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Betty was born December 1, 1920 in Syracuse, N.Y. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the age of 86. Betty was orphaned at a young age and supported orphanages in whatever way she could. She was dedicated in making a home for her family and was an accomplished quilter. She enjoyed living a farm life and looking after the chickens and rabbits. From her gardens she canned food that the family would enjoy through the winter. Betty loved collecting salt and pepper shakers. Surviving Betty are her son, Joe McKinley and wife, Gail of Mancos; two grandchildren, Travis Lee McKinley and Joseph Robert McKinley Jr; four great grandchildren, Bobby Joe McKinley, Alexander McKinley, Joey Ianni-McKinley and Tory Lynn McKinley; and a brother, Richard Lee Estes of Anchorage, Alaska.
