Sally grew up in Metuchen, N.J. where she attended school. She moved to New York City to finish her last three years of high school at The Brearly School in 1945. Sally graduated from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland in 1949 with a degree in Political Science. Sally married William H. Fraser Jr. on June 25, 1949 after they both had graduated from college that month. They started their life together in Bakersfield, Calif. where Bill was employed by The Superior Oil Company. Their life in the oil patch took them to many interesting places to live such as Casper, Wyo., Cortez, Bogotá, Colombia, New Plymouth New Zealand, Houston, Tex., and Lafayette, Louisiana. The couple also lived for short times in Tel Aviv, Israel, Lima, Peru, and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Of all the places they lived, Bill and Sally called Cortez home. When Bill retired in 1983, they moved back to Cortez. Sally was active in many community activities including the Cortez Women's Golf Assoc., Good Samaritan Center, Cortez Cultural Center and the Montezuma Valley Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Sally's name to the Montezuma Valley Presbyterian Church.
