SANDRA ROBYN "SANDIE" PACE Graveside services for longtime Mancos resident Sandra Robyn "Sandie" Pace will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Reverend Bud Rousset will officiate. A potluck reception will follow the services at Sandra's house, 40600 Alternate Highway 160, Mancos from 3 to 5 p.m. The family asks that you bring your own seating. Sandie was born October 30, 1949 in New York, N.Y. the daughter of Sam and Rita (Lembeck) Smith. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the age of 62. A very accomplished woman, Sandie had earned her Ph.D and was quite involved with her work with both North Central University and Empire State College. After her move to the Mancos Valley, Sandie labored to build her own home of which she was extremely proud. For many years Sandie gave her time as a Girl Scout Leader. Surviving Sandie are her daughter, Sadie Rose Pace of Mancos; her father, Sam Smith and Helen Haymer of Oceanside, Calif.; and her sister, Erica Smith and husband, Joe Arundel of Seattle, Wash. Sandie's mother, Rita Smith preceded her in death. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Sandra R. Pace with Indigent Care Fund c/o Southwest Memorial Hospital, 1311 N.
