SANDRA LEGAIL “SANDEE” AULSTON Funeral services for lifelong Page, Ariz. resident Sandra LeGail “Sandee” Aulston will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 21 at the Lifeway Baptist Church. Pastor Rick Gregory will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral service. A visitation has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Sandee was born on March 9, 1950 in Bakersfield, Calif. the daughter of LeVoy Stamback and Betty Dupree. She passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 57. On November 22, 1969, Sandee married Jonathan G. “Smokey” Aulston at her grandmother Della’s house in Arriola. Sandee had received training as an E.M.T. In her free time she enjoyed the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hunting, waterskiing and playing softball were all activities she liked. Sandee was also a talented painter and she loved taking care of the children in her neighborhood. Surviving Sandee are her husband of 38 years, Smokey Aulston of Page, Ariz.; her mother and step-father, Betty and Johnny Papoff of Arriola, her children, Monique Firestone and husband, Steven of Mancos, and Darin Aulston and wife, Becky of Page, Ariz.; her grandchildren, Laurie, Nick, Courtney, and Ashley; and her siblings, Cheryl Johnson of Cortez, Rick Papoff and wife, Beverly of Arriola, and Teresa Stamback of Kelseyville, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father; and her grandmother, Della Young. Memorial contributions may be made in Sandee’s name to assist the Mancos Fire Department in care of Mancos Valley Bank.
