She peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Vista Grande in Cortez, CO at the young age of 81.

Sandi was born in Flagstaff, CO. Tragically, her father Roy passed away when she was just two years old. Her mother, Helen, later married Floyd Ray, and together they raised Sandi and her younger sister Rickie in Cortez. After graduating from Montezuma County High School in 1961, Sandi married Kasey Simmons and they lived in various locations and soon after they moved to Durango, CO where she later had two sons. Sandi juggled various roles, including raising of sheep, caring for horses, irrigating, banking, and more. Her interest in gardening eventually sparked a passion for herbal remedies, inspiring her to take a great interest in natural healing. Sandi later began working at a racetrack in Denver, CO and soon after she transitioned to working in administration at the Jefferson County Police Department. It was during this time that she met her longtime love, Gregory Lamb. They married on December 9,1984 in Las Vegas, NV and continued to reside in Denver for a period of time. Sandi was subsequently accepted into a Massage School, graduated, and became a certified massage therapist, a profession she pursued for many years. The couple later moved to Lexington, Kentucky, where he spent several years working at the racetracks and she continued as a massage therapist before eventually returning to Sandi’s hometown of Cortez, CO. While living in Cortez, they cherished traveling back to Denver for Greg's work, where they loved strolling through malls and browsing shops. Together, they found joy in raising and showing Irish Wolfhounds, had a deep appreciation for attending Irish festivals, and treasured spending time with family in the Cortez area.

Sandi is survived by her husband, Gregory Lamb, of Cortez, CO; her son, Korey Simmons and (Leslie), of Albuquerque, NM; and her two grandchildren, Kole Simmons, and Kayla Simmons. She is also survived by her sister, Rickie Rowe (deceased: Alan) of Arriola, CO; and two nephews, Shannon Rowe (Bea) of Arriola, CO, and Shelby Rowe (Stephanie) of Arriola, CO. Sandi was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wilson; her mother, Helen and Father Floyd Ray; and her beloved son, Kody Simmons. Sandi was known for her love of animals, her healing touch and caring of others in her lifetime. She will be greatly missed by all.
