Sandra Jean Ives

SANDRA JEAN IVES Memorial services for lifelong area resident, Sandra Jean Ives, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 27 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. A potluck reception will be held immediately following the services at the Montezuma County Annex. Sandra was born the daughter of Harold Grant and Carmen (Hughes) Ives on September 6, 1952 in Cortez. She passed away at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Sandra was 54 years old. Sandra had been employed by Valley Inn Nursing Home for the past ten years, a job that she loved and excelled at. She had been recognized for outstanding employee dedication, being recognized with Employee of the Month and Perfect Attendance. Her children had blessed her with three grandchildren which Sandra was very involved with. Surviving Sandra are her mother, Carmen Ives McGill; two daughters, Alicia Pilon of West Lafayette, Ind. and Veronica Durall and husband, Steve of Cortez; and her three grandchildren, Drew, Hadley, and Alivia Durall. One sister, Connie Long and husband, Mike of Dove Creek; and two brothers, Ronnie Ives and wife, Brenda Belt Ives of California, and Gary Ives and wife, Patricia of Cortez also survive Sandra. Preceding Sandra in death were her son, Sean Pilon and her father, Harold Ives.
