SAMUEL PAUL PENNINGTON A celebration of life for Mancos resident, Samuel Paul Pennington will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 15 at the Mancos Brewing Company. Sam was born September 19, 1978 in Wilmington, Del. the son of Paul Michael and Paula Noreen (Bowden) Pennington. He passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 37. Sam attended St. Mark's High School in Wilmington and then went on to study at Pitt Culinary College and the University of Delaware. Sam was an outdoor enthusiast. He loved free time spent riding mountain and dirt bikes, climbing rocks, hiking and shooting sports. He liked living on the edge and skydiving as he had the opportunity. Surviving Sam are his mother, Paula B. Lofthouse of Elkton, Md.; his siblings, Ross Lofthouse of Elkton, Md., Joseph Lofthouse (Christina) of Elkton, Md., and Etta Lofthouse Burton (Jason) of Elkton, Md.; his niece, Reese Burton; and by his cousins, Naiden Crystal of Newark, Del., Steven Chicosky of Elkton, Md., and Tommy Chicosky of Elkton, Md. Sam was preceded in death by his father.
