RUTH SELL Funeral services for Ruth Sell, a former resident of Nucla, Colo. will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Nucla Cemetery at 2 p.m. Ruth was born July 3, 1917 in Hays County, Tex. the daughter of Leander T. and Virginia Carolina (Adare) Hill. She passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at her Albuquerque, N.M. residence at the age of 95. On January 7, 1936, Ruth married Frank M. Sell in Lockerby, Utah. She was a member of the Sunshine Club and Club of Friends, both located in Nucla. Ruth liked making arts and crafts and gardening. Sewing, baking and cooking were other activities that she enjoyed. Ruth's family stated she was a "jack of all trades, and master of all." Anything she attempted, she mastered and made a success. Ruth was a friend to all and made her grandchildren feel they were the only grandchildren in the world and without a doubt the most special. Surviving Ruth are her children, Rod C. Sell and wife, Donna of Nucla, Velma D. Aerts and husband, Robert of San Antonio, N.M., Knollie L. Sells and wife, Jacqueline G. of Deadwood, S.D., and Teresa Jeanne Vigil and husband, Clarence A. of Albuquerque, N.M.; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Frank M. Sell; by her children, Thomas M. Sell, Wilma A. Sell, and Francis R. Lackey; and by her siblings, Valley Krebbs, Lionel Hill, Virgie Hill, Billie Hightower, Helen Vance, Ruth's twin brother Roscoe Hill, Woodrow Hill, Leo Hill and Mike Hill. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth Sell's name to any local Hospice of your choosing.
