RUSSELL DEAN "RUSTY" SANDERS Graveside services for Russell Dean "Rusty" Sanders a lifelong area resident will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 11 at Peel Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Thursday afternoon from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Rusty was born July 20, 1971 in Monticello, Utah the son of David Eugene and Barbara Carol (Hancock) Sanders. He passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the age of 38. Surviving Rusty are his mother and step-father, Carol and Rob Mellot of Pleasant View; brother, Jon Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Heather Lee and husband, Derek of San Antonio, Texas; grandmother, Barbara Hancock of Dove Creek; uncles, Tom Hancock and wife, Lana of Dove Creek, and Rocky Sanders and wife, Phyllis of Dove Creek; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Taci, and Taegan Sanders, Chandler, Parker and Nicolas Lee; and numerous friends and extended family. Rusty was preceded in death by his father, David Eugene Sanders. Memorial contributions may be made in Rusty's name to the Dove Creek Ambulance Fund or to The Children's Kiva
