Ruby May Uptain

Funeral services for Ruby May Uptain will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Empire Chapel. Interment will follow at Lewis Cemetery. 

Ruby was born December 7, 1931 in Dolores, Colo. the daughter of Elmer Edwin and Mary (Tibbetts) Elliott. She passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. 

Surviving Ruby are her children, Mary Lou Magness (Scott) of Cortez, Colo., Stanley Uptain (Cindy) of Westminster, Colo., and Dan Uptain of Lewis, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Walter Uptain; by her siblings, Loid Elliott, Ines Curley and Elmer Elliott; by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Uptain; and by her great-granddaughter Ivory Devlin.
