RUBIO JOE MARTINEZ

 A Memorial Mass for Rubio Joe Martinez will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. 

  Rubio was born February 6, 1926 in Dulce, NM the son of Paul and Fannie Martinez. He passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at his residence at the age of 98.

  Rubio was the owner of Rubio’s Floor Coverings and a great family man. He met and married the love of his life, Marjorie (Vallegos) Martinez. 

 Surviving Rubio are his spouse, Marjorie Martinez of Cortez, CO; his children, ArDella Martinez, LaVella Vialpando, Doug Martinez and Bambi Martinez all of Cortez, CO. 

 Preceding Rubio in death are his parents, Paul and Fannie Martinez; and his siblings, Rose Mitas, Jack Martinez, and Lucille Martinez.
