Roy Wiley Berry

ROY WILEY BERRY Roy Wiley Berry was born June 11, 1935 in Los Angeles, Calif. the son of Ernest LaRue and Evelyn Elizabeth (Frazier) Berry. He passed away at San Juan Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Roy was 74 years old. Roy was a long time friend of Bill W. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and supported the Golden Bears. Roy was retired from pharmaceutical sales which he worked for 30 years. He relocated to the Cortez area fourteen years ago. He became an active member at the Recreation Center meeting friends there five days a week to walk and workout. Roy was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting and fishing. His family remembers him as a loving father and grandfather and will miss him very much. Surviving Roy are his children, Kristine Carlowe and husband, Damian Carlowe of Fountain Hills, Ariz. and Michael Berry and wife, Karen M. Berry of Fountain Hills, Ariz. and their mother, Barbara Berry, and by Garrett Hunter Berry of San Diego, Calf. and his mother, Mary Berry and by four grandchildren, Clayton and Wyatt Carlowe and Margaret and Caden Berry. Roy is also survived by Maya Gawdun, Roy's companion. Cremation has been arranged for with memorial services to be held at a later date.
