These memories will carry us forward and inspire us to nurture the kindness, love, compassion, strength, and faith she instilled in each of us, allowing us to love others and ourselves just as she did. Imagine how beautiful our world can become when we live as she lived!
Roxanna Louise Herrmann was born March 12, 1962, in Gillette, Wyoming, to Charles and Lorene (Heiney) Baskett. She passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colorado, at the age of 62.
Roxanna will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart, her humble attitude, and her unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. She was a God-fearing woman who touched countless lives with her generosity and faith. She never sought to put herself first, always placing the needs of others above her own, and pouring her entire heart into her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Of all the roles she held, the one she cherished most was “Grandma Rox.”
Though her family and friends will miss her deeply, they take comfort in knowing that Roxanna, with her strong faith in Jesus Christ, is now at peace and resting with her Father in Heaven. Her greatest desire was for her loved ones to know the Lord and join her in Glory one day.
Roxanna is survived by her husband, Royce Herrmann of Cortez, CO; her children, Renessa (Todd) Moss of Vici, OK; Ressa (Jared) Arguello of Vici, OK; Rustin Herrmann of Gracemont, OK; and Ryler (River) Bohall of Henrietta, OK; her beloved niece, Chelsea (Chris) Sanchez of Cortez, CO; her sisters, Raylene Wilkins of Brandon, MS, Kathy (Shawn) Wells of Cortez, CO, and Amanda Heiney of Cortez, CO; as well as her 18 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Baskett; her mother, Lorene (Heiney) Baskett; her sons, Ryman and Ridge Herrmann; her grandson, Garrett Moss; and her sister, Ronda (Baskett) Jones.
Services for Roxanna will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 21, 2024, at Ertel’s Funeral Home in Cortez, Colorado. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. A small graveside service will follow at the Cahone Cemetery.
While her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her, Roxanna’s legacy of kindness and faith will continue to inspire everyone blessed to know her. Let us take the pieces of her heart she shared with us and allow them to grow, spreading love, compassion, and unwavering faith in our lives. Imagine how beautiful the world will be when we live in the light of her example.
