ROWENA JANETTE ROBBINS Funeral services for lifelong Mancos resident Rowena Janette Robbins will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at the Mancos First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pastor Rick Gregory will officiate. Rowena was born November 26, 1926 in Haviland, Kans. the daughter of Wade Graham and Eletta Mae (Swafford) Gaddis. She passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at her son�s Mancos home at the age of 84. On October 19, 1943, Rowena married Clarence Ira Robbins in Aztec, N.M. Rowena was very involved in the Mancos community. She served on the Mancos City Council, was a member of the Senior Citizens Community, she volunteered for the Mancos Visitor Center and she donated her time as an election day volunteer. In 2006, Rowena was named Mancos Days Queen, a title she proudly accepted. Rowena was also a longtime member of the Mancos First Baptist Church. Surviving Rowena are her children, Kenneth Wayne Robbins and wife, Donna and Darlene Faye Coppinger and husband, David, all of Mancos; and her grandchildren, Dawn Hiss, Marty Robbins, Windi Ashton, and Trina Svec. Rowena also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Julissa Kirkley, Tylar Hiss, Brittnie Robbins, Kalyn Meyers, Tamryn Ashton, Jubal Robbins, Lana Robbins, Olin Svec, and Tristen Svec; and her great-great-grandchild, Aiden Jess Kirkley. Rowena was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Clarence Robbins; by her son, Clarence Eugene Robbins; by her daughter, Baby Girl Robbins; and by her siblings, Wade Gaddis Jr., Emma Hargadine, Bea Cox, Aldean Gaddis, Maxine Morris, Mavis Branson, Pearl Peacock-Tippens, and Alice Wheeler-Ross. Memorial contributions may be made in Rowena�s name to the Mancos First Baptist Church.
